As a full service Class 7 firearms manufacturer and gunsmithing shop, Défions Arms specializes in the 1911 platform, ranging from accuracy and trigger work to ground up builds and refinishing.
We can customize something you already have as well.
Défions Arms is a true custom 1911 and custom 2011 pistol design and manufacturing studio. The entire build process is overseen and performed by a single gunsmith, allowing an intimacy and product understanding that is unlike any other. We build each one by hand in-house.
If you have a firearm you would like customized, Défions Arms is your shop. We can Re-barrel, make or modify a new slide, install and tune fire control groups, etc..
1911 Single Stack Pistols (Jedburgh)
- Our single stacks are named in honor and remembrance of the Jedburgh Teams from World War II. During World War II, the OSS (Office of Strategic Services), Special Operations Branch had recruited foreign language speakers who would volunteer for hazardous duty behind enemy lines and parachute into denied territory. The Jedburgh teams were born. The partnership with the British SOE (Special Operations Executive) in the targeting of Nazi Germany was a success. Jedburgh teams consisted of between 2-4 men with either a British or American officer, a second officer from the country they were being deployed to and a radio operator. The Jedburgh teams would parachute into France, on many occasions a blind drop and try to link up with the French Resistance (Maquis), in order to create a link with advancing Allied units and the French resistance. The partnership proved invaluable. The 1911 is a classic design that has been perfected over the last 110+ years. People don’t say they won two World Wars for nothing! If you are looking to win single stack competition or you just want the best quality custom 1911’s, then the Jedburgh is your ticket.

Limited Division Pistols (2011 Style) (Wrath)
- Our double stack 1911’s (2011 style) are named in honor of a famous Special Forces mission in Afghanistan. On April 6, 2008, “Operation Commando Wrath”, otherwise known as the Battle of Shok Valley, two Special Forces Teams and more than 100 Afghan commandos were poised to attack a mountain fortress in Shok Valley. Two Americans were awarded the Medal of Honor for their heroic action during more than six continuous hours of fighting during the Battle of Shok Valley. These guns are truly the best guns you can use for Limited Division in USPSA (40S&W) and the various 3Gun Divisions (9mm). There are a number of options to choose from to customize this hand built custom pistol.

Open Division Pistols (2011 Open Gun) (Anarchy)
- Our Flagship guns, the Anarchy, is named after something that I hold near and dear to my own heart. Anarchy was my callsign as a Special Forces – Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC) during my career in the regiment. The callsign was used extensively throughout the Global War on Terrorism and many other operations. The JTAC is the member of the mission that has the additional duty of controlling all fires, controlling the airspace, and performing terminal control of all airstrikes. Of all the duties and jobs I had over my career, being a JTAC was by far in my opinion the best and my favorite.These Open guns are fully customizable to the desires of the buyer. We can build you the best bang for your dollar for USPSA Open Division or if requested mill the slide for a slide ride optic for 3Gun Open Division instead of being frame mounted. You can make your choices of hybrid/island style barrels or standard threaded bull barrel. You can also choose between full size gun (5.4” barrel overall) or mid length style (5” barrel overall). This is the true race car of competition handguns and if you want to get the most for your money, you have come to the right place. Not only are we competitively priced, but I guarantee you that you will have your custom gun far faster than the majority of the competition out there.
